Welcome to the team and First Practice
Welcome to the Step 1 team SGV-U10S1-1 (oh boy we will be needing a new name fast). We have just been assigned our first practice tomorrow and I'm sorry about the last minute notice (TLC 6pm). Tomorrow we will be spending time getting to know the team and having fun on the ice. I wanted to take this time to introduce myself, I am Jacqueline Wensley (Vivienne's mom) and I grew up playing ringette from the age of 5 at a competitive level. I am so excited that my daughter finally chose to play my favourite sport and now we can enjoy it together. I grew up with amazing coaches that taught me the importance of a team and how to have fun while still having a good work ethic. This year I really want the kids to have a fun year and develop friendships while creating a passion for the sport of ringette. I want the kids to laugh hard, be kind, and work hard on this adventure together. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask and I am also looking for some assistant coaches for the year (I have a few people express interest so far). Also please consider volunteering in other capacities (tournaments, manager, social, etc) as the team will only be successful with parent help. See you at the rink tomorrow.
