Good Morning Proud Unicorn Parents!
First off, hello and welcome to SGRA. My name is Nicole, Victoria Klassen’s Mom, and I will be our team's manager this year. If you are new to ringette, don't be shy to ask questions! I didn't know a girdle from a shin guard when my daughter started! I have two daughters in ringette - my oldest is starting her fourth year and my youngest, is in her second year. I am really looking forward to working with the team and having a fantastic season!! I had the pleasure of working with Coach Jeff last year and can say that he is very easy going, positive, develops a great rapport with the team and parents, comes to practices and games prepared, organized and ready for fun but also makes the girls work hard. As Jeff mentioned yesterday, he has played hockey his whole life and his passion for hockey has easily transitioned into a love for coaching his daughters and their peers in ringette.
Our next practice is this Wednesday September 27 @5:30 at Stu Barnes. Followed by Saturday September 30th @9:30 Stu Barnes. We do not have a regularly scheduled practice time as of yet so please check the schedule regularly.
As discussed yesterday, these are the positions parents have volunteered for. Thank you for volunteering. Many of us are new to these positions. If you are unsure of your roles, please ask around and we will try to help one another.

ACTION: Our Tournament Coordinators will apply for the St. Albert Turkey Ring October 6-9 so please mark your calendars as tentatively booked until we hear if we have been accepted.
ACTION: Seed Money has been set at $200. Please bring your cash or cheques to practice this Wednesday September 27th to give to Adriana.
ACTION: Apparel - all team members must wear SGRA pants for games. Please check the SGRA website for info on ordering.
ACTION: We are looking for team sponsorship. If any of you have companies or work for a generous company that would like to sponsor our team please let us know. We can decide as a team what we wish to spend that money on (hoodies, toques, warm up pants, etc).
ACTION: Absences and Lates: Coach Jeff dedicates a significant amount of time to planning the practices and line ups for games. If you know you are going to be absent, please be courteous and let us know if your daughter is going to be absent or late from a practice or game. Please plan to arrive and have your daughter ready for the ice at least 10 minutes before a practice and at least 20 minutes before a game. This gives our coaches a chance to talk to the team before we get on the ice and make optimal use of our ice time.
Additionally, Coach Jeff has generously offered to provide practice jerseys for the team. If any company would like to advertise their logo on the back of the jersey they can do so at a cost of $200.
