*We are in need of a female to be on the ice or bench for each practice and game as this is a ringette rule.

Jerseys
There is a jersey deposit we will need. The manager will be in contact with the group about the details as soon as possible. As Anthony explained it is usually a cheque. We have the numbers sorted out for now but the kids still need to make sure they fit so we may need to do some swaps depending. Remember those are just game jerseys so please continue to have a practice jersey for your child.
Seed Money & Fundraising
Seed money needs to be determined by the treasurer in the near future. Once the treasurer has information about the three tournaments, other events that we hope to have throughout the year and other costs than the seed money amount can be determined.
Fundraising coordinator from SGRA sent information that I will pass along to our team fundraising coordinator. We can also be looking for some corporate sponsors to help get apparel for the girls. Parents to update if they identify sponsors.
Tournament Update
We’ve been in contact with a couple coordinators about offering Golden Tickets for Sweetheart and their tournaments. Traditionally, when you offer your Golden Ticket to a team for your home tournament (ours is the Sweetheart in February for those that may be new to ringette), that they would reciprocate in kind for their home tournament.
We were also offered to enter the Turkey Ring in St. Albert for no cost so we’ll be looking in to that. At the meeting we confirmed that the Turkey Ring is something we want to pursue especially seeing as it is coming up sooner than later.
The Tournament coordinator to research and get back to the group about Turkey Ring and other tournaments when information comes in. By rule we can only attend 3 for the year.
Other Information
-Game play begins in mid-October for session 1.
-Whenever possible, please try to have kids at practice and games 30 minutes prior to the posted start time.
-Please use the Chat function in RAMP to send messages to all of the parents instantly. For example, if you need to carpool to a game or practice, the chat function has been a great tool in helping to find someone to help out.
-SGRA pants will be needed this year. An email was sent out to parents.
