NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

On behalf of the Spruce Grove Ringette Association, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend the Annual General Meeting which is being held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 7:00 – 9:00 at the Grove Motor Inn, 21 Westway Road, Spruce Grove.

There will be no registration at the AGM.

The AGM is a business meeting providing members a summary of the year’s highlights and activities.  Please note, there is significant importance to attend this meeting.  There will be a number of executive positions open that will need to be filled.  This is your chance to shape the future of the Spruce Grove Ringette Association.  We thank you in advance for your time and consideration.  With your volunteer efforts on the SGRA Executive Board, we will continue to grow, develop, and see the reward in the ongoing success of our athletes!  

There will be a door prize for an SGRA credit with the value of one (1) SGRA player’s registration fee in any division.  There will be one entry per registered player of the 2011/2012 SGRA season.  The winner (parent/guardian) will need to be in attendance to claim the prize.  Draw is to be made at the conclusion of the AGM.

The Spruce Grove Ringette Association would like to recognize the following athletes from our community who have qualified for Ringette Nationals this year:

This is an amazing accomplishment at the elite level of Ringette.  Congratulations to these athletes and the best of success at Nationals.

         for winning the U10 Gold Division.

A Learn to Play Program has been set up to help teach any new potential players in the 

Capital Region, the basics of Ringette, skating and having plain old Fun!! 

The dates, time and place of these skates are as follows: 

Callingwood “B” March 13^th, 6:15pm – 7:15pm

Callingwood “B” March 20^th, 6:15pm – 7:15pm

Confederation   March 27^th,  6:15pm – 7:15pm

Callingwood “A” April 4^th,     6:15pm – 7:15pm 

The cost of the Learn to Play Program will be $50.00 / player (payable to Edmonton Ringette).

All that the players require for equipment is skates (preferable hockey skates), helmet and gloves (ski gloves are fine).
