Welcome to the SGRA 2023/2024 Active Start Season

Hello all Active Start participants!

My name is Anthony Wierenga and I will be your acting director for the 2023/2024 season. Please forward any and all questions you may have my way, that's what I am here for.

As many of you may know already the AS program runs one ice time a week starting mid September all the way into March (if you have signed up for the whole year). I don't have the first ice scheduled yet but it will most likely be the weekend of September 16th. Please keep in mind not only is this an intro to ringette for your kids but its a bit of intro into what what the volunteer space will look like for the parents. With that in mind we will need a head coach, manager and as many on ice helpers as we can muster for this age group. For the very first practice I will come out and run it to get everything going and hold a quick parent meeting afterwards to make sure everyone is good to go. 

For some quick basic info the Active Start section on our website give some great tips. I also plan on holding a parent info night as well as a gear swap (location and time TBD) if you want to attend in person to ask questions and go over what a season will look like.
